My name is Paul Schuessler and I launched Fidelis Home Renovation to make renovating not only affordable, but also enjoyable … oh yea, and simple!  

That is why the name Fidelis was chosen.  Fidelis is Latin for faithful.  It’s not only a value I wanted to lead with in my work, but it’s also a value that our American culture is in desperate need of!

In addition to starting and finishing projects faithfully with the utmost craftsmanship, I wanted to offer a transparent, affordable pricing model for clients.  

In reality, renovating or repairing your home basically consists of 2 key components, the materials required for the project and the labor to get the work done.  Profit for remodeling companies is often baked into both parts.  Ask any remodeling company how they calculate the cost for a project and you probably won’t get much of an answer - and that’s ok.  It’s their business and you have a choice to work with them or not.

Often, there is a markup of 15% - 25% on the materials used for a project.  This “markup” is built into the design, then build process used by many remodeling companies.  

At Fidelis Home Renovation, we build our profit into just the part we are actually responsible for - our labor!  You get a cost from us only for the work we are doing for your project.  The cost for all the materials - whether they end up costing a lot or a little - are handled directly by you as the homeowner.  

No markup, and no inflated costs!  We just serve as a faithful guide for which materials you’ll need to buy and which brands are worth buying.

Finally, I wanted to simplify the renovation process as much as possible.  Time is a precious commodity and there really is no need to waste it if you can read a tape measure and send an email.  It’s really that simple to get a starting price to see just how much your dream space might cost.

And, since I do most of the work for your project, the timeline project is solely based on me being there to get all the work done.  The good news is that I like to get a project completed almost faster than homeowners who are living through it, for your benefit as well as mine;)
